🥱 I’m just here for the newest template.

Hi all! I’m Noossablue, and this is the new landing page for my Notion TTRPGs and Worldbuilding template! The template, originally made to accommodate D&D 5e, gives you the space and structure to organize campaigns and other worlds that you are creating or playing in. While the hero template and related databases are currently exclusive to 5e (with plans to expand in the future), they can be adapted to fit any ruleset or ignored entirely to build worlds for novels, videogames, etc.
The below database contains basic info on all the versions of the template, and starting with 1.14, contains the template versions themselves as pages within the database. To use the template for yourself, open the page of the version you want to use (hover over the version and select “Open”) and click “Duplicate” in the top right corner. Youtube tutorial videos are linked in the toggle below and on the front page of the template itself (I will be creating new videos for the version 2 series eventually, but the basic idea is the same).
I've had some very generous people like this template so much they've asked if I have a way for them to contribute monetarily. My venmo name is the same as my handle, Noossablue, but that is in no way necessary to enjoy this template! It has been a labor of love and I am happy to offer it freely!

- Tutorial Videos for the Campaign World Template and Character Sheet Templates
Known Issues
I will be addressing these in more detail when I create new tutorial videos.
- Because of Notion’s current lack of options for sharing filtered databases, the 2.0.0 series of the template is difficult to share because everything is included in master databases. If this is absolutely a dealbreaker for you, I’d suggest using 1.14, as the 1.0 series is based on separate databases for each world. My hope is that Notion will fix the sharing issues but there is not a timeline on that as of March 1, 2023.
- If you add a database entry for the first time from a related database, with the “New” button in the top corner of the correct database, or using “New <Name> page in…” feature, they won’t automatically get related to the correct Campaign World and as such won’t show up in any views.
- If you add via a template or clicking at the bottom of a database, the Campaign World should automatically be added.
- Otherwise, immediately click on the new entry and add the correct Campaign World (It should be the first or second property on the page). If you add it via the “New” button, make sure to manually add the correct Campaign World on that entry’s page.
- Because all databases reside on the main page, using the breadcrumb to navigate is not always convenient.
- You can use your browser’s back button and/or add links on the individual pages of the template to assist with navigation. I also advise opening new pages in new browser tabs (Ctrl/Cmd + click).
- If you have more than one world, the duplicated names of the individual pages may make certain tasks difficult (like using the + to add a page to a database while taking notes).
- Add a unique identifier (like an icon) to each of the pages on creation to aid in differentiating them. Eg turn “🗒️ Sessions” into “🗒️ Sessions (🦇)” and so on.
- Notion has no way to filter lookups in databases, so all options will show while searching for any relations, even ones from a different world. This is somewhat alleviated by the option to see properties in the lookup menu, which have been added as of 2.2.2 to make lookups easier.
